| Chapters of
the Steelhead Society of BC
A chapter (also referred to as a “branch”)
is comprised of Steelhead Society members who usually
live within close proximity to each other, who meet
regularly, and who work together as a group to tackle
various issues that affect their local rivers and the
steelhead and salmon that inhabit them. Common chapter
initiatives often include: fundraising campaigns for
habitat restoration, advocacy, or research projects;
volunteer activities such as meetings with local, provincial,
and/or federal government agencies or committees; and
interaction with the general public to increase their
awareness about the plight of steelhead and salmon in
their community.
