Constitution
of the Steelhead Society of British Columbia
The name of the Society is the STEELHEAD
SOCIETY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA.
The purposes of the Society are:
- (a) to promote the propagation and
conservation of steelhead trout and other salmonids;
(b) to promote the conservation, restoration,
and enhancement of habitat suitable for steelhead
and other salmonids;
(c) to gather and disseminate information
and educate the public with respect to all aspects
of the propagation, conservation and enjoyment of
steelhead trout and other salmonids and their habitat;
(d) to educate and encourage all river and stream
fisherman in the responsible, sportsmanlike enjoyment
of their sport;
(e) to receive, bequests, trusts,
funds, and property, and to hold, invest, administer
and distribute funds and property for the purposes
of the Society;
(f) to do all such other acts and things as are
conductive to the attainment of the purposes of
the Society.

The Society shall operate without
purpose of gain for its members and any profits
or accretions to the Society shall be used in promoting
the purposes of the Society. This provision is unalterable.

The Society shall take out membership
in, and be a member of, the B.C. Wildlife Federation
or its successor in title from time to time. This
provision is unalterable.
