2012 Squamish Watershead Cleanup

Last year’s inaugural cleanup was attended by volunteers including Steelhead Society of BC members and directors, members of the community, anglers, kayakers, and
university students. An estimated 2 tonnes of garbage were removed from the
Squamish watershed area including, Cheakamus, Mamquam and Squamish rivers.

Update – May 15 2012

This year there were 27 volunteers who showed up for a day of picking up garbage. By the end of the day over 10,000 lbs of garbage was weighed in at the Squamish landfill. Pictures below.
